We design and manufacture devices, machines and tooling for industry, laboratories and museums
Involutech is an engineering design office based in Kraków, Poland. Machine design and manufacturing: from concept, through prototype, to serial production. Mechanics, electronics, automation and software all in one place.
What we do
Design and manufacturing of machines, devices and tooling
Four areas, one team of design engineers. We carry every project from idea to finished product.

Engineering Design Office
Mechanics, electronics and software – product development. We take projects from concept through design and prototyping all the way to serial production.
Meet the design office
Conservation Equipment
Specialist equipment for museums, archives and universities: vacuum tables, MSI systems, UV/IR illuminators. Delivered to institutions worldwide.

Laboratory Equipment
Personalised laboratory and R&D equipment. We have extensive experience working with scientists, turning their concepts into hardware and equipping experimental setups.

Production Tooling
We design and manufacture production tooling and industrial automation. We build moulds, special-purpose machines and measuring devices for quality control.

A team of design engineers for machine design and manufacturing
Every project is handled by the same team: design engineers, electronics engineers, automation specialists and programmers. The idea, documentation, prototype and finished device do not travel between companies; they are created in one place.
Projects are led by engineers with years of practice, gained also abroad. On the manufacturing side we are backed by the ZBKT toolshop in Kraków, so design and manufacturing stay in one pair of hands.
Engineers with years of practice
Design experience built over years, including international projects.
In-house manufacturing backend
The ZBKT toolshop: CNC machining, EDM, 3D printing and 3D modelling, prototyping workshop.
Four competences in one team
Mechanics, electronics, automation and software. One project, one point of contact.
TRIZ and CAE simulations
We look for solutions based on experience, computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulations and the TRIZ methodology, a systematic approach to problems with no ready-made templates.
How we work
What does the journey from idea to finished product look like?
You take part in the project at every stage. An idea or a problem to solve is enough, we take care of the rest.
Idea
You come with a need, a problem or a rough concept. No documentation or design required.

Working meetings
We clarify requirements, constraints and budget. We agree what the device should do and how we will measure the result.

Design documentation
Our design engineers prepare the documentation: mechanics, electronics and software.

Ongoing collaboration
During the build you consult solutions directly with the design engineers and see the progress.

Finished product
You receive a working device: tested, deployed and ready for operation or serial production.

Industries
Which industries do we design and build for?
We specialise in non-standard builds: machines, devices and tooling you cannot buy from a catalogue.

Industry & manufacturing
Custom machines, assembly and test stations, line automation.
Power & electrical engineering
Precision components and devices for the power and electrical sectors.
Defence
Structures and devices delivered to the client's documentation requirements.
Space technologies
Precision components and research stations for space sector projects.
Medical
Devices and tooling for medical equipment manufacturers.
Laboratories & science
Personalised laboratory equipment and experiment stations.
Culture & museums
Conservation equipment for museums, archives and universities worldwide.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about machine design and manufacturing
What does the machine design and manufacturing service include?
The whole process: needs analysis, concept design, documentation, prototype, machine build and deployment. We also modernise and service existing machines.
How much does a custom-designed and built machine cost?
The price depends on complexity, quantity and requirements, so every quote is individual. After the first working meeting you know the scope and the price range. Describe your project in the form and we will come back with specifics.
What does the collaboration process look like?
Five steps: idea, working meetings, design documentation, ongoing collaboration with the design engineers during the build, and handover of the finished product.
Do you build prototypes and one-off devices?
Yes. We build prototypes and one-off devices as well as short series. Many of our projects are single, non-standard units.
Do you modernise and service existing machines?
Yes. We modernise machines and production lines without replacing the entire machinery, for example with new control systems and test stations. We also service the devices we have manufactured.
Which industries do you work for?
Among others: industry, heavy industry, defence, space technologies, medical and laboratory sectors, and cultural institutions: museums, archives and universities.
Have a project to quote?
Describe your challenge: mechanical, electronic, automation or laboratory. We will propose a solution.
